You know how scratching your fingernails on a blackboard drives some people crazy? That doesn’t bother me too much. What gets me are oro-nasal sounds. Gurgling, hacking, sniffling, junky coughing, snoring, etc. In medicine, I get to add on the experience of (oral) suctioning someone or being around when they are being suctioned – you know that sound at the dentist’s office.
So, why do I bring this up? I’m trying to enjoy sunny Marseille whilst my sister M’sa who was underdressed for the weather in Germany now has a cold. For the past 24 hours or so she’s been trying to breathe through a congested nose which means sniffling EVERY SECOND. Every blessed second. At this point, it is tingling my spine, making me cringe, and giving me that I-so-cannot-stand-that, awful sensation.
Jesus be a Savior and deliver us decongestant!
