My mother came to visit recently. As expected, she criticized my garden. You have money, eh, to waste on all these containers and plants? If you don’t know what to do with your money you should give it to me.
She repeated that a couple times as I excitedly tried to point out the various plants in my yard. I soon told her I didn’t appreciate her passing judgement on what I do with my money. She didn’t like that but before she could respond I added that she didn’t know if this is what I have to do to keep sane or not. With that the commentary of how I am wasting money ended. Over the next few days, she visited the garden frequently to amplify her cooking and cataloging what she would take back with her.
So, my garden experienced it’s first real harvest.
And it’s second.
Even the herbs.
The bunny returned. I see evidence of it and the birds helping with harvesting too.
