I came home today after a few days away to notice that my garden has sprouted it’s first fully grown courgette (zucchini). It’s sitting on the kitchen counter-top currently. A lovely specimen. I’m thinking that I will saute it with garlic and add basil from the garden (lime variety) that is about to flower. We can’t have that. I may just harvest a green chili (a Jimmy Nardello) to add a different texture to the dish while I’m at it.
