This chocolate is pretty unique in that it’s more than just an eating experience, you become involved in your chocolate. It’s made from the Ecuadorian Arriba cacao supposedly a very superior breed. One bar of Esmeralda gets you involved in Arriba cacao conservation efforts. The local farmers are Afro-Ecuadorian. You can go to the website originalbeans.com and enter in the E-code on your bar of chocolate to see your tree. Even the packaging is made from recycled products.

The chocolate itself boasts flavours of salted caramel, honey, hints of summer red fruits and spice. Mmmmm! Good chocolates tell a story.
