This my second time at pampering, I went to a mall nail salon. Nothing fancy but that place was packed. I was confused as to what I was to do…go pick a colour, lay your feet like so, not like that; while the other customers (mostly ladies and the occasional gentlemen) whizzed by me like pros. A little girl, maybe five years of age, tried to persuade me to get the same shade of hot pink drying on her fingernails. I wondered really? Really!, even kids get manicures these days?
Several of the customers had technicians they knew, waited for, and continued their discussions with from their last visit. “Hi Ming-Lee, sorry I couldn’t come in Thursday, that snow…I couldn’t leave my house…” I guess that’s what the scene at the hair salon and barbershop is as well but I wouldn’t know as I do all my grooming myself at home. I was there for over two hours wondering how do people find the time to maintain all these grooming services…how do they find the money to keep it up…and why do I not care to participate in this sport on the regular?
Seriously I feel like Johnny-just-come.
Anyway, I actually had a relaxing day and I left with pretty red hued nails …and shaped eyebrows thrown in for good measure. I got the long-lasting Shellac lacquer, let’s see how long I can maintain it for.

LOL…funny. I will now stop doing manicures because they are a waste of time for me. Pedicures? I love them but i have to make sure that its a reputable and clean facility. I fear infections which happen to be rampant in these kind of establishments.
